"The Greatest Fighter Who Ever Lived"

It doesn't always seem like you're winning...

    ...In fact, I was behind on all four judges' score cards at the end of the third round.  Any intelligent gambler would've bet against me.  After all, I'd taken the fight on less than one week's notice and I was fighting the undefeated Welterweight World Champion, Bobby Ryan.  

    But in the sport of kickboxing, a defeat can be turned to victory in a few seconds.  A straight right sent Ryan to the canvas for the count.  The fight was over in the fourth round.  I won by a K.O.

    In life, like in kickboxing--It's always too early to throw the towel in!  It may be that you're being beaten badly, but that can be turned around.  You can still be a winner.  It happened to me.  I was losing at life and was being counted out until I met the greatest fighter who ever lived, Jesus Christ.  He defeated the two strongest opponents in this world--Sin and Death   (I Cor. 15:54-56).  I became a winner the day I asked Jesus Christ to come into my life as my Savior and Lord.  He now manages my life.  He's also the best friend I'll ever have.

    Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only son.  that who ever believes in Him shall no perish, but have eternal life." Jn. 3:16.  He also said, "I stand at the door of your heart and knock.  If you heard my voice and open the door I will come in." Rev. 3:20.

I urge you to believe in Jesus Christ and invite Him into your life.  He alone can make you a winner for all eternity.

"ONE GOOD MOVE"

My dad was a boxer and taught me how to box when I was a child.  I started in the martial arts over 30 years ago and when the sport of boxing and karate combined I got in on the ground floor of what is known as international Kickboxing.  I had a sanctioned professional record of 32 wins, 0 losses and 27 wins by knockout.

I won this fight with Linny Ferguson with ONE GOOD MOVE, a roundhouse kick to the jaw knocked him out.

There are 2 fighters in the ring of life that I could never defeat:  Sin and Death.  The Bible says that "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Rom. 3:23)and that "The wages of sin is death." (Rom 6:23). Every person who has ever lived has been beaten by Sin and Death.

Jesus Christ,  THE GREATEST FIGHTER WHO HAS EVER LIVED knocked out Sin when he Died on the cross and knocked out Death when He rose against to life.  That's why the Bible says "the sting of sin is death" but "death has been turned into victory."  "But thanks be to God.  He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." ) I Cor 15:54, 57)

The greatest victory I've ever had was for a fight that I never fought myself.  Jesus Christ fought the fight on the cross for me.  He took the punches.  He took the bruises.  He shed His blood. And when He won He offered me the victory.

I know now that I am a winner forever because I received that victory when I received Jesus Christ as the Savior and Lord of my life.  Now my sins are forgiven and I know I have eternal life in heaven.  The Bible says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

It only takes ONE GOOD MOVE to go from losing to winning in life.  That ONE GOOD MOVE is to believe in Jesus Christ and let HIM be your Savior and Lord.  I urge you with all of my heart to do that today.
